Investment Bank to Host Conference
COSTA MESA, Calif. – September 24, 2007 – RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, a global investment bank, will host its 2nd Annual Government Services Conference focusing on timely industry issues ranging from new small business recertification regulations and their impact on the sector to ongoing foreign and private equity investment in U.S. companies.
More than 70 senior-level executives are expected to attend the half-day conference, which will feature experts addressing a variety of issues associated with the government services industry.
“In response to rapid growth and dramatic new regulations recently going into effect, industry firms and private equity firms, both in the United States and abroad, are continuing to consolidate in order to gain niche capabilities and secure lucrative government contracts,” said John Hennessey, vice president and leader of RSM EquiCo Capital Markets’ Government Services practice.
“The Beltway continues to be fertile grounds for M&A and private equity investment. Predicable revenue streams, coupled with the stability of the U.S. government, enable strong, consistent returns for investors on a risk-adjusted basis. While it is too soon for a definitive answer on the effects of the Small Business Recertification ruling, conventional wisdom suggests firms engaged in higher qualification technical work should not see the same level of pricing and structure effects in the market as firms active in less complex environments.”
The conference is being co-sponsored by RSM McGladrey and McGladrey & Pullen, the fifth largest accounting and business consulting firm in the United States and sixth largest worldwide. It will be held on September 25 at The Ritz-Carlton-Tysons Corner in McLean, Va. To register or for more information contact John Hennessey, vice president, at 781.685.3550.
