Our process usually begins with a detailed valuation to determine how much the particular business is potentially worth to attractive buyers. Once completed – should the client decide to proceed with a potential sale – we launch the tactical M&A process and introduce the company to buyers in North America, Europe and elsewhere around the world.
We develop comprehensive marketing materials, including an Information Memorandum and a one-page executive summary called a Précis. We also develop an extensive list of targeted buyers, using our extensive network of industry contacts and databases of strategic and financial acquirers from around the world. We qualify (client-approved) potential buyers and work with the client to determine the most desirable deal structure and terms.
In addition, we hold various buyer symposia throughout the year for both international and domestic buyers, as well as a variety of industry conferences. The industry conferences, which attract an impressive array of influential industry executives, feature insightful presentations and roundtable discussions while allowing us to present attractive acquisition candidates to potential buyers.
